AMD is delighted to welcome to its team, Dr Tim Wilderspin who joins the company as an Applications Engineer. He is the first member of AMD’s newly established Advanced Engineering facility based both at the company’s headquarters on the Surrey Research Park and at the University of Sussex.
Tim was previously an Application Specialist at the Graphene Engineering & Innovation Centre based at The University of Manchester, where he worked to deliver projects over a range of applications including integrated sensors, printed antenna and EMI Shielding with additional experience in formulation and production of conductive graphene inks. Tim has spent over ten years in engineering and development including working with Tata Steel as part of the PV accelerator research team developing 2nd and 3rd generation solar cells for use in building integrated applications. Having originally graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Renewable Energy engineering, Tim’s PhD, developing perovskite solar cells, is from the University of Swansea.
